Refined Sugar-Free Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz bag fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar*
  • 2 tbsp date paste*
  • 1/4 tsp orange zest
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Cover and reduce to a simmer. The cranberries will begin to pop. Stay close by and stir frequently so the sauce doesn’t stick to the bottom.
  3. Add a splash more orange juice or water for a less thick sauce.
  4. Remove from heat once the sauce has reached the desired texture.
  5. Garnish with some orange zest.
