Plastic is a huge problem. Most people can agree with that statement. However, it’s not just the dreaded straws or plastic bags that are the issue.
645 billion plastic household product containers are dumped in landfills and oceans globally each year!😳
Recycling is NOT the solution and never has been. For starters, only 9% of America’s plastic is actually recycled (2015 figures). The rest is sent to landfills, with a large percentage ending up in our oceans. The other issue with recycling is that it can only be cycled down 1-2x, depending on the type of plastic, before it’s completely useless.
Cue TruEarth! No plastic. Eco-friendly, paraben-free, phosphate-free, hypoallergenic, free from added dyes, no animal testing, free of bleach, free of 1,4-dioxane, and readily biodegradable, and so simple!
🧋Between 2002-2015 we made the exact same amount of plastic that we made between 1950-2002!
🧋Plastic breaks down into smaller parts called microplastics. These fragments never go away. They’re in the water, food, animals, and even found in humans.
🧋Every minute two garbage trucks of plastic are dumped into our oceans.
🧋The “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” covers 20 million square kilometers of water.
🧋Over 1 million marine organisms are killed each year due to plastic pollution in the ocean.
